Graduation Requirements

CLASSES OF 2023 AND BEYOND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

End-of-Course State Testing Requirements

Classes of 2023 and Beyond - Students will take end-of-course tests in Algebra I, Geometry, English II (ELA II), American History, American Government, and Biology and must earn a passing score (684) on Algebra I and English II (ELA II) tests. Students who do not pass will be offered additional support and must retake the test at least once. In the event a student does not earn a 684 or higher, the student will work with their School Counselor to develop a plan based upon the guidelines set forth by the Ohio Department of Education.

Graduation Seals Requirements - Classes of 2023 and Beyond

In addition to End of Course State testing requirements, students in the classes of 2023 and beyond must also earn at least two Graduation Seals. There are two categories: State-Defined and Locally-Defined. Students must earn at least one State-Defined seal with the other from either category. Four Year Plan

The Four Year Plan is designed to be a rough draft of a student's high school career. Changes to the plan each year are very common as interests and academic achievements progress. Students are encouraged to update this plan as often as needed, with a minimum of at least once a year which takes place during the scheduling process. All plans are completed in SchooLinks, our online counseling tool.

Honors Diploma

Students may earn an Honors Diploma based upon criteria set forth by the Ohio Department of Education.

Honor Roll

Honor Roll is earned based on a weighted quarterly grade point average.

Honor Roll     3.0 - 3.49

High Honor Roll     3.5 - 3.99

High Honor Roll with Distinction     4.0 +

Latin Honors System

The Latin Honors system recognizes individual academic excellence based on a cumulative weighted grade point average at the conclusion of the 7th semester. The following criteria will be used:

Cum Laude 3.5 - 3.749

Magna Cum Laude 3.75 - 3.999

Summa Cum Laude 4.0 and higher
